29 researchers and reviewers were involved in this study, the first ever to focus on the use of materials used in religious education. In addition to reviews of numerous books, audio visual materials and websites by panels of specialist academics, faith group consultants and professional experts, there were 20 case studies of different schools across England, including maintained and independent. primary and secondary, and faith based and non faith based schools, plus a quantitative survey of schools of all types.
Report authors Bob Jackson, Julia Ipgrave, Mandy Robbins, Leslie Francis and Ursula McKenna also work on Religion and Society Phase 2 Large Grant 'Young People's Attitudes to Religious Diversity'.
