Programme Ends, Westminster Faith Debates Continue

20 May 13

The AHRC/ESRC Religion and Society Programme is nearing its end.

It began in 2007 and completes next month.

Over these seven years 75 research projects were commissioned involving 240 academics and researchers from over 29 different disciplines. Many of these have now ended, and summaries of their findings can be found on our website http://www.religionandsociety.org.uk/

The main ongoing legacy of the Programme will be the Westminster Faith Debates, and the research councils and Lancaster University have generously agreed to fund another two further series in 2014 and 2015. Peta Ainsworth will continue in post to support this work. Rebecca Catto has now moved to a post at Coventry University.

The Spring 2014 series will be on global religion, and more details will follow.

You can watch or listen to the 2013 series on Religion and Personal Life which has just ended here:

If you follow us on Twitter, @RelSoc will transition this week to @FaithDebates. You don’t need to do anything if you wish to continue to follow us, and we hope that you will.
