What’s the Place of Faith in Schools?

Professor Jackson is Director of the Warwick Religions and Education Research Unit (WRERU). He leads Religion and Society-funded project Young Peoples’ Attitudes to Religious Diversity. Listen to his keynote address at a WRERU conference funded by Religion and Society here.

Linda is Professor of Sociology of Religion at Lancaster University and Director of the Religion and Society Programme. Her publications include A Sociology of Religious Emotion, with Ole Riis (2010).

James is Professor of Religious and Philosophical Education (Creativity Culture and Faith) at the University of Glasgow. He has led the Religion and Society-funded project Does Religious Education Work? Listen to him speaking about this research from here.

Richard is the former Charles Simonyi Professor of the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University. Among his books are The Ancestor’s Tale, The Selfish Gene, The Blind Watchmaker, Climbing Mount Improbable, Unweaving the Rainbow, A Devil’s Chaplain and The God Delusion.

John became Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Oxford in 2007. He has written 12 books on various aspects of Christian living including How to Pray, Going to Church and How to Explain Your Faith. He chairs the Church of England’s Board of Education.
