  • Doctor of Music

    Congratulations to Phase 3 Large Grant holder Professor John Harper, a musicologist at Bangor, who is being admitted to the degree of Doctor of Music on 9 November 2010 by the Archbishop of Canterbury, exercising his right granted by Act of Parliament in 1533 to award degrees on the basis of scholarship and learning. This is in recognition of Professor Harper’s distinguished contribution to the development and appreciation of church music as a scholar, administrator, teacher and composer, and to a greater understanding of the relationship between music and the liturgy of the church.

    A new book has been published by Routledge which arises out of Phase 1 Network Promoting Greater Human Wellbeing led by Professor Elaine Graham. Its full title is The Practices of Happiness Political Economy, Religion and Wellbeing and it is edited by Ian Steedman, John R Atherton, Elaine Graham.
