11 August 11
The project Religion and belief in HE: researching the experiences of staff and students, was carried out by a team led by Professor Paul Weller, University of Derby (Principal Investigator on Religion and Society funded project Religion and Belief, Discrimination and Equality in England and Wales). The research is based on survey responses of 3077 HE staff and 3935 students, supplemented by in-depth case-study work, focus groups and interviews in a number of higher education institutions.
The report identifies a number of areas where the sector needs to undertake further work to support staff and students with a religion or belief in higher education.
