‘We’re all in this together, the kids and me’: Beginning Teachers’ Use of Their Personal Life Knowledge in the RE classroom
Dr Judith Everington addressing the Religion in Education conference held at the University of Warwick, 25th and 26th July 2011. The event was hosted by WRERU, the Warwick Religions and Education Research Unit, in conjunction with the Religion and Society Programme, funded by the UK Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences Research Councils.
Dr Everington, a member of the WRERU team, talked about the ‘life knowledge’ used by trainee RE teachers in the classroom. She has a special research interest in the relationship between RE teachers’ personal and professional lives.
